Having spend the last 25 years in the most walks of the food industry, food is an essential part of who we are and how we think. The journey started in the restaurant business. First as a chefs, later as restaurant owners.It was love at first sight – an everlasting love. But after having spend the better part of 15 years in restaurants and kitchens across Europe and the US, babies were on their way and regular working hours seemed very appealing. It was already back then the first steps to Servio was taken. Consultancy jobs let to job offers. First advertisement agencies, then an interesting and steep learning curb with marketing and business development at Friesland Campina and Arla. 

It is basically the essence of that journey we offer at Servio. A combination of two worlds – the very hands-on restaurant business and the more business minded foodservice. We have the insight and network at all levels to ensure, that You, the brand owner, is getting Your money’s worth and the most direct and efficient route-to-market.

We love brands

If food is the soul and very essence of what we do. Branding is the packing it comes in. Branding defines the values behind a product and the company producing it. Branding determines how a product is perceived, which again reflects on price point, sales channel, segmentation and – initially – the lifespan of the brand. Those are the reason we love brands. It is so complex- it requires a enormous toolkit, business insight, experience, network, gut feeling and a lot of hard work. But once it is there, it is magic.
 
We work with branding in both foodservice and retail. At all levels. Maybe You are a brand-owner on the lookout for an agent in new markets. Servio is eager to become that agent. Using our tools and market knowledge to build on top of the branding You already have created. We will take responsibility for the entire route-to-market across all channels. Maybe You only need help with certain elements of Your route-to-market. New market

The concept is working. You have Your propositions and USP’s in place. Sales have a proven track record i one or more markets, customers are delighted and production is more than ready to upscale. In short – it is time to enter new territory. Unfortunately, it is seldom as easy as we hope for to enter a new market. Even neighboring countries – like the Nordics – are very different. To the naked eye it can be hard to tell the difference, but the devil is in the detail, and if You miss it, chances for a successful market launch are very slim.

New brand

Maybe You are already present in the market. Your brand has proven it’s worth, but You are only selling to a segment of the channel.
You need a second tier in order to own the channel. But where to aim? Where is the biggest potential and how does the brand penetrated the market. There is a lot to consider; price-point, outlets, competition, who to target, communication etc. It is all part of the perfect Route-to-market strategy.

New channel

You are doing great. You are a household name in foodservice – “the chefs secret”. Your second tier is also in place and You basically own the channel. Fighting for bigger marketshare would not justify the R.O.I. Where do You go from here? You could invest in NPD – maybe You already are, but a new product is years ahead. You could also look at other channels – same product, different pack size.
